Wazirabad attack: Complainant policeman passes away from heart attack

WAZIRABAD: Station House Officer (SHO) Amir Shahzad, who filed the first information report (FIR) against the assault on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in November of last year, passed away on Sunday from a “heart attack” in Wazirabad.

Details indicate that Shahzad, the SHO of the Saddar Wazirabad police station, passed away from a heart attack.

On the basis of the deceased policeman’s statement, a case of attempted murder against the former prime minister Imran was opened at the City Wazirabad police station.

During PTI long march on November 3, 2022, an assailant opened fire close to the PTI receiving camp at Allahwala Chowk, injuring Imran and numerous other PTI leaders.

An employee of the party was murdered and six people, including the former premier, were injured in the firing on PTI chairman’s container in Wazirabad.
