Smart home AI agent to liberate users from burden of housework

From January 9–12, 2024, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will be held in Las Vegas.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, LG Electronics will show off an artificial intelligence (AI) agent for smart homes that will “free users from the burden of housework.”

“Our ground-breaking smart home AI agent combines cutting-edge AI and autonomous mobility technologies with advanced communication and services to help customers get rid of chores around the house,” the LG Company website said.

1. The gadget, which is part of LG’s “Zero Home Labour” concept, uses robotic, AI, and multi-modal technologies to move, learn, understand, and have complicated conversations.

Second, it has an advanced “two-legged” wheel design that lets it move around the house on its own. Articulated leg joints allow it to show “emotions” and talk to people.

3. The multi-modal AI technology uses natural language processing, voice recognition, and picture recognition to help the AI agent understand what is going on and what the user wants. It also lets the AI agent talk to users.

4. The agent is a “moving smart home hub” that handles and connects to smart home appliances. It also has the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 platform, which gives it powerful AI features like recognising faces and people.
