
A shooting at a school in Nashville, Tennessee, killed at least six people, including three children.
According to international media reports, the city’s fire department stated that there were “multiple patients” from a shooting at a nearby school.
Nashville police said they engaged and killed the shooter, who was described as a teenage female, but they are still looking for the victims and the perpetrator.
At a press conference, police spokesperson Don Aaron confirmed three children, three staff members, and the shooter were killed.
The suspect was armed with two “assault-type” rifles, and at least one pistol was found at the scene. The shooter’s identity is still unknown.
According to data compiled by Education Week, there were 12 school shootings in the United States from 2023 to March 23 that resulted in deaths or injuries.
