Shoaib Malik says ‘misses’ wife Sania Mirza

Shoaib Malik, the great cricketer, has put the divorce rumors between him and his wife, Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, to rest with his newest remark.

Speaking on a private news channel’s Eid special show, the former Pakistan cricket captain breaks his silence on the divorce rumours with Mirza.

When asked about the continuous allegations of their breakup, as the two are not together for Eid and he did not accompany his wife and son to Umrah last month, Malik dismissed the rumors, saying, “Nothing on it [relationship rumours].” We constantly share affection. I can tell that I miss her terribly.”

“There are [professional] obligations.” Eid is a day when you miss the ones you care about. We would have been amazing together on Eid, but she has commitments in IPL, doing concerts there, so we aren’t together,” the all-rounder explained.

Malik further stated that he was preoccupied with professional obligations when his family travelled on the Umrah trip, therefore he was unable to accompany them. “When Sania and Izhaan went to perform Umrah, I had commitments here, and when I took a break and went to Dubai to spend time with Izhaan, she had commitments in the IPL,” he explained to the presenter.
