Shahrukh Khan’s First Salary Was for Fifty Rupees

Is that so? Shahrukh Khan, now one of Bollywood’s highest-paid actors and one of the world’s highest-paid performers overall, made just INR50 (around $0.1) for his first job.

Khan is one of the five wealthiest actors in the world, with a net worth of $730 million. He is the highest-paid and largest superstar in Bollywood, reportedly charging INR100-150 crore for a film in addition to brand endorsements.

However, can you believe, Shahrukh Khan took home a lowly payment of INR50 after his first-ever employment.

The actor said in an old interview that his first job was as an usher at a Pankaj Udhas concert and he was paid INR50. Khan revealed that he took a train to Agra to see the Taj Mahal with the money he made.

Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK is riding high on the success of two straight mega-hits, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ in a year.

His first picture with master director Rajkumar Hirani, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover, is called “Dunki,” and its release is eagerly anticipated. On December 22nd, audiences will be able to see the feel-good comedy-drama.
