PTI gives protest call following Imran Khan’s arrest

ISLAMABAD: Following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) called on citizens to help preserve the country on Tuesday.

Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan was detained in the Al-Qadir Trust case by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

PTI’s official Twitter feed issued the request.

“They have severely pushed the injured Imran Khan.” People of Pakistan, this is the moment to preserve your country. “You won’t get another chance,” stated the tweet from PTI Twitter account.

Fawad Chaudhry released images of the detention of PTI chairman and urged the public to come out and defend the country.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has taken notice of Khan’s detention from the high court’s premises and summoned the IG Islamabad, the secretary of the interior, and the additional attorney general.

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has instructed the government to inform the court as soon as possible who was behind the arrest and what case Imran was arrested in.

“Will summon Prime Minister if the report is not submitted within 15 minutes,” the judge said.
