
KARACHI: Sindh provincial minister and PPP Karachi chapter president Saeed Ghani said on Friday that his party will conduct a rally in the port city on May 13 (Saturday) to celebrate the party’s success in the recent local government elections.
In an interview with the media, Saeed Ghani stated that the rally will take place tomorrow evening on Karachi’s I.I Chundrigar Road. “PPP chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will address the rally,” he announced.

While thanking the people for granting PPP a historic win in the Sindh local body elections, Bilawal declared that the politics of hatred and division had been buried forever. He went on to say that the party would celebrate its triumph in Karachi on May 13.
According to unofficial statistics, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leads with 98 Union Councils (UCs) seats, having won seven of the 11 Union Councils in Karachi during local government (LG) by-elections.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the results of 240 UCs in Karachi out of a total of 246 have been finalized, while the results of six UCs have been withheld by the ECP.
The Pakistan People’s Party successfully obtained 98 UCs, Jamaat-e-Islami secured 87 seats, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf remained third with 43 UCs.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz won 7 seats1, JUI-F won three seats in UCs, while TLP and an independent candidate won two UCs.
