Police officer shot dead in Karachi firing

A Sindh police policeman was slain on his way back from a wedding celebration in Karachi’s Quaidabad district.

According to reports, unidentified armed persons opened fire and murdered police officer Azeem Haider near Karachi’s Surjani moor area.

According to SHO Surjani, Azim Hyder, 30, was returning from a wedding ceremony when he was attacked by armed intruders near the Green Bus Stop in Surjani moor, resulting in his death.

According to the SHO, the police recovered a purse and a mobile phone belonging to the deceased from the site. Meanwhile, authorities indicated that the constable had been targeted and that the incident was not a robbery resistance.

According to authorities, the deceased, Azeem Haider, was carrying a personal firearm, which was seized from his body. The event is being investigated further by the police.
