
Nawaz Sharif has promised that the federal coalition would not be “blackmailed” by PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s demand to hold immediate elections in the country while participating in a crucial party meeting via video link from London on Saturday. He also instructed leaders and workers to begin organizing the elections in Punjab.
In addition, Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman declared during a meeting with PM Shehbaz that he had chosen not to heed the suggestion to dissolve the Punjab Assembly given by Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi.
“I have made the decision not to participate in the actions that would dissolve the Punjab Assembly. I like to let the Constitution and the law develop naturally. As the Constitution clearly lays out a path ahead, doing so won’t impede any legal processes, Mr. Rehman tweeted.
The Sharif brothers are thought to have prevented the governor from signing the summary after speaking with other party officials in order to support the PML-stance N’s that it opposed the dissolution of the assembly.
Prior to that, practically all the key party leaders attended a meeting that the prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, presided over in Model Town. Along with the party head, Maryam Nawaz, the PML-main N’s organizer, joined in via video link from London. The PML-N said following the meeting that Nawaz Sharif had taken a “major decision” (at the party huddle) ordering leaders and workers to begin organizing for the Punjab elections.
Additionally, Mr. Sharif gave PM Shehbaz instructions to set up a party’s parliamentary board (for the award of tickets). Additionally, he urged the voters to enter the polls with all their enthusiasm, confidence, and readiness since the PML-N needed to win.

After the meeting, Attaullah Tarar, the special assistant to the prime minister, told reporters that it had also been resolved not to contest the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly in any venue. The planning for the elections in Punjab has received approval from the party leadership, and we will run in them, he declared.
