LAHORE: According to reports, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has prevented Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi from being denotified by Punjab Governor Baligh-ur-Rehman.
The news comes after the PML-legal N’s experts recommended the group hold off on denotifying CM Elahi since the decision might be contested in court. A proposal was made during a meeting at the Governor’s House by the legal team. The Pakistan Muslim League-top Nawaz’s leadership was present during the conference (PML-N).
On the advice of the legal staff, the prime minister has ordered more consultation on the topic and temporarily halted the Punjab governor from alerting CM Elahi.
