Pakistan’s armed forces remain ready to defend homeland: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated on Friday that Pakistan’s military forces are always prepared to defend the country and are conscious of their obligations.

In response to inquiries about the Pakistani military’s combat operations, the ISPR stated that the army is fully armed with the most modern combat equipment and is constantly on alert.

The ISPR highlighted that issues were raised regarding the military’s combat readiness after the former chief of army staff, General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa, made a statement that was taken out of context.

We reassure the populace that Pakistan’s military forces are constantly prepared to defend the nation and are equipped to handle any threat to national sovereignty.

Former COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa is alleged to have informed two prominent journalists that the Pakistan Army lacks the necessary weapons and financial resources.
