
DUBAI: Pakistan’s men’s cricket team arrived in Dubai on Wednesday to begin a three-match Twenty20 International series against Afghanistan, which begins on March 24 in Sharjah.
The 15-member national squad and three traveling reserves took off from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport in the evening and arrived here.
The national team will then fly to Sharjah, where they will face Afghanistan in three Twenty20 Internationals on March 24, 26, and 27.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared photos of the young squad on Twitter.
“We have arrived in the UAE in preparation for the T20I series against Afghanistan,” PCB wrote.
It is worth noting that the PCB announced a new-look squad led by Shadab Khan for the upcoming away match after resting key players such as all-format captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Afridi.
Shadab Khan (c), Abdullah Shafique, Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Ihsanullah, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shan Masood, Tayyab Tahir, Zaman Khan are the Pakistan squad.
