PA should be dissolved as per law: PML-N

LAHORE: Ata Tarar emphasized that the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly will take place in line with the constitution. He also made it clear that the party had no intention of interfering in any way with the governor’s report.

Tarar expressed his expectation that this summary would be adopted as soon as possible after seeing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who had just returned from a two-day trip to the United Arab Emirates. This would initiate the interim set-up to start.

Contrary to what had been reported in the media, he claimed, they had no desire to intercept the summary, adding that everything should be handled in accordance with the law of the state.

The date of the elections for the provincial assembly, he claimed, had not yet been decided. This problem is premature at this time because the decision on the temporary setup has not been made.

Prime Minister Shehbaz held significant meetings in Lahore with the governor and party leaders, primarily including Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, and special assistants Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan and Tarar. Shehbaz had returned from the UAE to Lahore to take control of his directionless party.

Additionally, the party scheduled a Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting for the next week to discuss the political climate in Punjab.
