ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan filed a report to the Supreme Court on Tuesday detailing the progress made in obtaining cash from the State Bank of Pakistan for the Punjab elections.
As the deadline set by the SC expired yesterday, the ECP was required to file a progress report on the distribution of cash today.
The ECP notified the Supreme Court in its report that, despite the court’s order, the SBP did not release Rs21 billion for the Punjab elections.
On April 14, a three-judge panel hearing the case of election delays in Punjab and KP directed the SBP to directly issue Rs21 billion for the poll and submit its report by April 18.
Following the Supreme Court’s judgment, the Election Commission of Pakistan set the date for the Punjab elections, which would be placed on May 14.
It was previously reported that top officials from the country’s intelligence services met with Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial and two other apex court judges who are considering a case relating to the May 14 elections in Punjab.
According to insiders, the ISI and MI heads briefed the judges on the country’s security challenges.
According to sources, the meeting between the justices and the security officers lasted more than two hours in the CJP’s chamber.
“It’s not like shopping at a regular store. There simply isn’t a comparison. It’s really thrilling. As a young student in New York and Boston, he said that his passion for Apple led him to shop openings where he once had the opportunity to meet Cook.
Apple has had trouble constructing physical retail outlets in the country of South Asia in the past, although its items have been sold on e-commerce websites since the country’s first online store launched in 2020.
The opening of the new store coincides with an increase in Indian consumers’ desire to replace their basic, often less than $120 smartphones with glitzier models that provide richer feature sets.
