RAWALPINDI: On May 24, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned Awami Muslim League president and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed in the National Crime Agency £190 million Scandal, also known as the Al-Qadir Trust case.
The anti-graft watchdog has ordered Sheikh Rasheed to appear before the bureau on May 24, along with all relevant documents.
Rasheed said in a video message on Twitter hours after getting the NAB notification that he was ready for the arrest and had prepared his bag.
“I’ll stand firm as a rock.” My in-laws’ residence is like a jail. My luggage has been prepared. Thank you very much for accusing me of the £190 million [scam].”
“I am grateful to NAB that it has also made me a party with Imran Khan in the case of £190 million,” he stated.
Furthermore, in the Al-Qadir Trust case, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
A three-member anti-graft squad arrived at Zaman Park to deliver the summons to Bushra Bibi for her presence tomorrow.
It should be remembered that on May 15, the Lahore High Court (LHC) granted bail to Bushra Bibi in the Al-Qadir Trust case till May 23.
