During the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 500 runs in 11 innings against Lahore Qalandars.
The batter has scored 500 runs in three consecutive PSL editions, making him the first player to do so in the tournament’s history.
Rizwan scored 500 runs in PSL season 6 and 546 runs in PSL season 7.
Earlier, in what was arguably one of the tournament’s most tense matches, Rizwan scored 110 runs off 64 balls in a sensational batting display against the Karachi Kings.
The Sultans captain, who batted first, hit 10 boundaries and four maximums while remaining firmly planted on the pitch throughout the game.
Rizwan has played in 70 PSL matches since his debut in 2016, scoring 1,962 runs in 59 innings. During the current season, he has one century and 16 fifties.
Rizwan has 178 fours and 45 sixes to his credit.
