ISLAMABAD: The Inter-Provincial Coordination Ministry (IPC) has finally moved the summary to remove Ramiz Raja as head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The IPC has submitted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif a summary that includes the names of Najam Sethi and Shakil Sheikh as new PCB Governing Board members, replacing Asad Ali Khan and Ramiz Raja. “The names of Najam Sethi and Shakil Sheikh have been included in the summary provided for the PM’s approval on Tuesday,” sources indicate.
According to them, the summary required cabinet clearance. However, cabinet members’ consent might be obtained through circulation. It is important noting that Ramiz Raja was chosen as PCB chairman by former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on September 13, 2021.
