
LAKKI MARWAT: At least four police officers, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), were killed and six others were injured when terrorists attacked the Saddar police station in Lakki Marwat.
According to reports, terrorists wielding heavy weapons attacked the Saddar police station, injuring five officers. The attackers fled the scene in retaliatory fire, taking advantage of the darkness.
DSP Iqbal Momand left for the crime scene after receiving information about the attack, but his armored vehicle was also targeted with explosives.
As a result, DSP Iqbal Momand and three cops, Waqar, Ali Marjan, and Karamullah, were killed. The bodies of martyred and injured police officers have been transferred to a hospital by police and rescue teams.
Earlier this month, police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) foiled a terrorist attack in the Lakki Marwat district.
According to a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police official, the police responded to suspicious activity near the Bakhmal police station, where terrorists opened fire on the police team and fled the scene.
The presence of terrorists was confirmed by police using thermal cameras, and a gunfight ensued.
There were no casualties reported in the exchange of fire, according to the police.
