Over 300 women were sighted inside and outside Jinnah House on May 9 during vandalism and arson, according to Lahore police.
According to sources with knowledge of the situation, the list has been finalized with the use of technical and intelligence assistance. The arrests would be carried out after the Punjab caretaker administration has given its assent.
The Punjab government has kept its approach hidden, and a meeting with CM Mohsin Naqvi in the chair is slated for later in the day.
The high-level conference will also be briefed on the evidence pointing to a ‘political party’ being involved in the Jinnah House attack.
Previously, Ibad Farooq, a PTI ticket holder from PP-149, held Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leaders and former Punjab ministers Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed ‘responsible’ for the May 9 Jinnah House attack.
PTI officials Yasmin Rashid, Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed, and others, according to Farooq, telephoned party workers, including him, to reach Liberty Chowk.
PTI leaders allegedly ordered protesters to set fire to Jinnah House. “Whatever happened at Jinnah House was not right.”
