Ismail Tara, a well-known actor, died in Karachi
KARACHI: Ismail Tara, a Pakistani actor, died unexpectedly on Thursday night in Karachi, according to his family.
He was purportedly admitted to a private hospital for the past three days due to some health problems, and once his condition worsened, he was put on a ventilator. His death was reportedly caused by kidney failure.
The memorable role he played in the Pakistani serial Fifty Fifty helped the great TV performer gain notoriety. Later, he participated in several theatre productions, TV dramas, and Pakistani movies. In the films Haathi Mere Saathi, Aakhri Mujra, Munda Bigra Jaye, Chief Sahib, and Deewarein, he won the Nigar Award five times for best comic.
