ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Bar Association protested on Wednesday against violence towards court staff and lawyers during the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
According to the facts, Rizwan Shabbir Kiani, Secretary of the Islamabad Bar Association, has declared a judicial boycott and sought a probe into the events of violence and damage at the High Court’s registry office during the arrest of former Prime Minister and PTI head Imran Khan.

Kiani warned institutions that violate Pakistan’s Constitution to stop their illegal conduct, adding that the judiciary and attorneys are willing to go to any length to safeguard the Constitution and the rule of law.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has taken notice of Khan’s detention from the high court’s premises and summoned the IG Islamabad, the secretary of the interior, and the additional attorney general.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has instructed the government to inform the court as soon as possible who was behind the arrest and what case Imran was arrested in.
“Will summon Prime Minister if the report is not submitted within 15 minutes,” the judge said.
