The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Ejaz Chaudhry on Thursday after ruling that his arrest was ‘illegal’ under 3MPO.
IHC Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard Ejaz Chaudhry’s appeal against his arrest under 3MPO.
Following the cancellation of Ejaz Chaudhry’s arrest, the Islamabad High Court ordered that he be released immediately.
It should be mentioned that Ejaz Chaudhry was arrested for inciting people to participate in violent protests, and he was also charged in the GHQ attack case.
Asad Umar, PTI secretary general, was released from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Wednesday. He gave a press conference at the National Press Club, also known as the Islamabad Press Club, shortly after leaving jail to announce his resignation from all party positions.
