Nargis Fakhri, a Bollywood diva, recently discussed the rumours that she was dating her co-star from her first film, Ranbir Kapoor, and her brother, Shahid Kapoor.
Fakhri recounted her ‘crazy’ days when she was ‘connected up’ with ‘every other person in the industry’ in a recent interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan on his digital talk programme.
She admitted that she went crazy from feeling connected to everyone in the film business. There was once a report that stated, “I now reside in Shahid Kapoor’s flat.”
The ‘Rockstar’ star went on to say, “I wish I had saved these articles and that my mum come down to see and meet him. People were texting me, “Oh, your mum is in town?” My mother never even visited me here, what the hell. So, it was necessary for me to adjust to that.
Fakhri recalled an incident in which she had to shut down a reporter for asking a similar question: “A reporter came up to me and said, ‘How is it to be enjoying the B-town stars?'” She made it sound like she was implying something with her words.
Those pieces were all appearing in the press at the same time. And I just told her, ‘I am waiting for you to turn me into a lesbian,’ and her face sank and she went out.”
“And then that was made into a headline and I got into trouble,” she continued. For the uninitiated, Nargis Fakhri made her Bollywood debut with Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Rockstar’ (2011), and she also appeared in a unique dance number with Shahid in his action comedy ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’ (2013), titled “Dhating Naach.”
