GUJRAT: Two secretaries of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader and former federal minister Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain were arrested in Gujrat on Friday.
Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain is the younger brother of former Prime Minister and PML-Q head Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. The Rehmania police have taken Kamran Butt and Hameedullah Bhatti into prison, according to authorities. According to the initial story, the individuals were not charged.
The Punjab police have recently raided the home of PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. Earlier, close relatives of Punjab’s former chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi were booked on anti-terrorism and telegraph charges.
Wajahat and Moosa Elahi were arrested at the Ghalib Market police station. According to the FIR, Wajahat and Moosa Elahi’s recording about the disappearance of the women MPAs went viral on Twitter.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s relatives were accused of purposefully planning to disappear female MPAs.
