ISLAMABAD: According to Senator Sherry Rehman, the federal minister for climate change, the government was forced to convene a requisition session of the Senate after the president failed to issue a summons order.

After the Senate meeting on Friday, she spoke to the media and said, “We cannot delay the legislative business and issues of public importance if the president does not pass the summons.” “We intended to meet with the opposition in the Senate on the subject of rising terrorism events, but all they talk about are protests and long marches. The opposition is stuck itself.

Article 54 (3) of the Constitution’s rules was followed in calling the Senate session. “I declared the former Senate chairman’s 2016 judgment. The verdict allowed for the presentation of government legislation during the requisition session. We wouldn’t let the PTI paralyze the legislature as they seek to do. Why they don’t want to talk about terrorism,” she questioned.
