ISLAMABAD: On May 8, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) questioned former Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Yousaf Raza Gillani in the Trade Development Authority (TDAP) Scandal.
According to the data, FIA Multan issued an appearance notice to former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, along with Trade Development Authority records.
It is worth noting that PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gilani has been spared from court attendance since 18 December 2014, despite the fact that three cases have already been filed against him in Karachi.
More than 70 lawsuits were filed in 2013 against numerous organizations and persons in the TDAP mega-scandal, which allegedly involved billions of dollars in wrongdoing.
It is worth noting that the late PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim was also named in the TDAP scam.
The court heard the Trade Development Authority scandal case in 2015 and issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Yousuf Raza Gillani and Amin Fahim following the initial hearing.
On the occasion, officials also submitted a challan in another corruption case against both of the defendants.
The judge ordered the accused to appear at the next hearing.
