
KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained a traveller at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi for possessing forged travel credentials.
According to the details, the passenger, Naveed Ahmed, was attempting to travel to Greece on flight TK-709. The vigilance team asked him to reveal his documents since they suspected he was travelling with forged documents.
The traveller supplied fraudulent identification under the name Naveed Ahmad, according to the FIA spokeswoman, while their genuine identity was determined to be Rizwan Ali Awan.
The perpetrator was discovered to have received a Pakistani passport and a Greek identity card through an agent and had paid a significant sum of Rs. 1.5 million for the documents.
The passenger was turned over to Karachi’s FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation.
Earlier this month, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration wing detained an Afghan traveller travelling to Jeddah on a forged passport.
The FIA immigration wing successfully offloaded an Afghan passenger named Naeem Aryan who was travelling to Jeddah with a Pakistani passport at Peshawar Airport.
According to preliminary findings, the passenger arrived in Pakistan from Afghanistan the day before the flight and want to return.
The passenger was turned over to Peshawar’s FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation.
