During the World Cup final, Google reported the most traffic in 25 years by searching for “FIFA World Cup”

But the FIFA World Cup 2022 championship game smashed all previous Google internet search records. Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, confirmed this in a tweet. He stated on Twitter that the day of the Argentina vs. France championship match ended up being the busiest in Google search history.

He claimed that during the previous 25 years, December 18 had seen the most traffic.
