ISLAMABAD: According to Jamaat Islami chairman Sirajul Haq, China’s foreign minister carried a message from the Chinese leadership during his recent visit to Pakistan.
“The Chinese foreign minister is in Pakistan with a message from China’s President advising Pakistani leadership to resolve issues through political dialogue,” Sirajul Haq stated.
It should be noted that China’s Foreign Minister, Qin Gang, paid a two-day official visit to Pakistan in early May.
“They have again advised that issues be resolved through political consultation,” Sirajul Haq added. “The enemies of Pakistan want to dismember the country,” the JI chief said, referring to the Chinese leadership.
“We had initiated political dialogue with the PTI and the PDM,” he explained. “We want a nationwide election on the same day.” Instead of conquering each other, people should be given the authority to make decisions, according to the JI emir.
“I have stated in the Supreme Court that August is the month of Pakistan’s Independence Day, and pilgrims will also return from Hajj in August, advising the country to hold a transparent election in the month,” Sirajul Haq remarked.
According to the JI leader, price increases and unemployment have hit their peak. He claimed that under the PTI government and then under the PDM, the situation could not improve. “The PDM is following in the footsteps of the PTI,” he remarked.
