
QUETTA: A local court in Quetta granted bail to Balochistan Communication Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran in the Barkhan triple murder case on Friday.
Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, who was arrested in the Barkhan murders case last month, applied for bail in the sessions court.
Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran was granted bail in exchange for Rs1 million surety bond.
Late Wednesday night, Levies personnel recovered Giran Naz, her four sons, and a daughter who were allegedly held in the custody of Balochistan Minister for Construction and Communications Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran.
Six family members of Khan Muhammad Marri, including his wife Giran Naz, daughter Farzana, and four sons, Imran, Abdul Hameed, Ghaffar, and Sattar, were recovered from an area near the border of Duki and Barkha, according to levies.
On a tip-off, Levies officials raided an isolated location and apprehended Marri’s family members. Commissioner Zhob has handed over the woman and her two children.
Muhammad Khan Marri confirmed the recovery of his kidnapped family members in an interview with the media.
The Barkhan case
The incident gained attention after police in Balochistan’s Barkhan district recovered three bullet-riddled bodies of a woman and her two sons from a well.
The slain woman was identified as the wife of a citizen named Khan Muhammad Marri, and the other bodies were identified as her two sons.
According to police, all three victims were killed in the shooting, while the woman’s face was horribly distorted by acid being poured on it.
The bodies, they claimed, were thrown into the well by the killers. According to the victims’ relative, the woman and her sons were allegedly imprisoned in a private jail of a provincial minister, and five more people were still present in the private prison.
