Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistani cricket team, believes that former South African captain AB de Villiers is the perfect cricketer, and he claims to model his strokes like the former South African star.
Prior to the Test series against England, Azam told former English captain Nasser Hussain in an exclusive interview that he would practice hitting strokes like AB de Villiers after seeing him play on television.
Azam discussed the crucial part his father played in aiding him in honing his cricket. He remarked, “My father gave me a lot of support.”
“My father used to take me to the cricket field when I was a kid. He was really important to my education. He kept a close eye on me.”
Azam stated that he was optimistic about earning a spot in the nation’s national squad after playing under-19 cricket in Australia.
The captain greeted the English squad when they arrived in Pakistan. Inviting the English players to visit Pakistan and take advantage of the country’s hospitality, he expressed his excitement over the historic Test series against England.
