Babar Awan fears Imran Khan’s arrest during IHC appearance

ISLAMABAD: Babar Awan, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has stated that former Prime Minister Imran Khan may be arrested ‘illegally’ during his appearance before the Islamabad High Court today.

Babar Awan stated in a tweet that they had acquired information on a ‘sinister action plan’ against PTI chief and former prime minister. He requested that the matter be brought to the attention of Pakistan’s Chief Justice.

It should be remembered that Imran Khan was summoned to appear before the IHC today (Thursday) following his absence from the hearing on Wednesday.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) prolonged former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s interim bail in nine instances till Thursday (today), with a warning that if he fails to appear in court, his bail will be revoked.

“The medical report submitted to the court is from a private hospital; why don’t you go to a government hospital for an examination?” The court inquired.
