LAHORE: Asif Ali Zardari, a former president and co-chairman of the PPP, has gotten involved in provincial politics following the news on December 23 that the Punjab Assembly will be dissolved.

Imran Khan, the head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a former prime minister, said last week that the legislatures will be dissolved on December 23. (Friday).

Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, has convened a meeting of the PPP’s parliamentary party in the Punjab Assembly.

Today at 3 PM, a meeting will be held at Bilawal House in Lahore. To prevent the dissolution of the Punjab legislature, Pakistan People’s Party legislators led by Hassan Murtaza would meet with former president Asif Ali Zardari, according to the sources.

Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif earlier underlined their determination that the coalition government will continue to advance for the sake of the nation’s political stability and economic growth.

They decided in a conference in Lahore that no one would be permitted to sow political unrest in the nation. They made the decision to act forcefully against those who are attempting to drive the nation into financial default.
