Asad Umar’s interim bail extended in vandalism case

ISLAMABAD: Asad Umar, a former federal minister and PTI member secured an extension in the case involving the damage of the judicial complex.

Details indicate that a PTI member was brought before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in a case involving judicial complex vandalism and the Terrorism Act.

Attorney Babar Awan requested an extension of his client’s bail during the hearing.

Raja Jawad, ATC judge presiding over the case, carefully listened to the defense’s claims. After giving it some thought, Judge Jawad extended Asad Umar’s interim bail till May 29, releasing him from custody temporarily.

Asad Umar, the secretary general of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a member of PTI core committee, resigned from his party posts a day earlier.
