Asad Umar, Shah Mahmood Qureshi released from Attock jail

ATTOCK: A number of PTI leaders, including Secretary General Asad Umar and Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, have been freed from prison.

The district jail in Attock freed Shah Mahmood Qureshi. The local authorities and personnel outside the Attock jail gave him a warm welcome.

Upon his arrest, Qureshi was transferred from Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Prison to Attock Prison. Outside the jail, Zain Qureshi, Mehrbano Qureshi, Tahir Sadiq, Syed Yawar Bukhari, and others could be seen.

Asad Umar, the secretary general of PTI, was also freed from Rajanpur prison. PTI workers arrived in droves at Asad Umar. After being voluntarily taken into custody in Lahore during the “Jail Bharo Tehreek” Umar was also sent to the Rajapur jail.

Also released from prison were Zulfi Bukhari, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, and Sadaqat Abbasi.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) gave the PTI leaders permission to leave custody earlier in the day.
