Asad Umar says this week will be turning point in history of Pakistan

Asad Umar, secretary-general of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), hailed the party’s members and supporters on Sunday for attending the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan despite “all the difficulties” and predicted that the following week will mark a turning point in Pakistan’s history.

The former planning minister claimed, when speaking at a press conference in Lahore, that residents of the city came out despite being afraid, being arrested, and having containers placed all over the place.

Asad Umar criticized the current administration for mismanaging the economy of the country and claimed that the people were suffering because the current leaders were imposed upon them. He said, “People are dying while waiting in line for flour.”

PTI leader pointed out that Ramadan is the month in which Pakistan was founded and that this is also when its “road to prosperity” will start.

Fawad Chaudhry, senior vice-president of PTI, took over the press conference and addressed the country’s present political crisis by asserting that there is no other option in Pakistan than to implement the Constitution.

According to Fawad Chaudhry, the current crackdown on PTI employees resulted in the detention of more than 2,000 persons. “People are being taken from Lahore and reported missing. Azhar Mashwani vanished,” he continued.

He cited the Punjab government’s “measures to curb PTI’s power show” and said that containers had been placed throughout the city to block it off. He continued, “Lahore’s access and leave routes were blocked.
He issued a warning that Pakistan would once again be placed on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) list by the government, which is run by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

Fawad further stated that the Supreme Court was currently the focus of attention (SC). He continued by saying that the government now conducts its politics out of fear. He said, “Let us do our politics, and we are asking you to do your own.”
