According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will debut its first line of M3-powered Mac laptops in October.
The iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro are all likely to be part of the new lineup, which will be powered by Apple’s next-generation silicon.
According to Gurman, the M3-powered Macs will be released after Apple’s September presentation, which is expected to include the iPhone 15, Apple Watch Series 9, and Apple Watch Ultra.
The high-end MacBook Pro models and desktops, on the other hand, are expected to be introduced later, possibly in the first half of 2024.
Gurman believes that the new M3 chips will benefit the iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air, and 13-inch MacBook Pro, with other M3-powered Apple devices on the way.
While the M3 chip is expected to use TSMC’s N3E 3-nanometer process, which will provide more power than devices using TSMC’s 5-nanometer technology, it is crucial to note that current M2 Apple devices are still very powerful.
With the impending release of M3-powered Macs, users must decide whether to buy an M2 MacBook or wait for the upgraded M3 models.
