According to multiple sources, Hollywood star Amber Heard has reportedly left the industry and plans to go to Madrid. According to a Page Six article, insiders close to the Aquaman star have verified that Heard will be shifting nations soon.
“I can reveal that Heard has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh,” Alison Boshoff of the Daily Mail stated in a recent article. A friend of Heard told the writer, “She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise.”
A source close to Heard also informed the tabloid that the 37-year-old actress may return to Hollywood one day.
A source close to Heard also informed the tabloid that the 37-year-old actress may return to Hollywood one day. “I don’t think she’s in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood,” a friend remarked, “but she’ll probably come back when the time is right, for the right project.”
Heard’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Page Six. Previously, Heard’s appearance in the new Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom teaser generated quite a commotion at CinemaCon 2023, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The promo for the next film was shown at a movie industry event in Las Vegas, with Jason Momoa and Amber Heard reprising their roles as Arthur and Mera, respectively. While the trailer has yet to be released, Warner Bros. has announced that Heard will feature in it.
The announcement of Heard’s participation comes amid an internet push by fans of Johnny Depp to get her removed from the sequel. The online petition has over 4.6 million signatures and labels Heard a “domestic abuser.”
When Heard and Depp presented charges of domestic violence and abuse during their high-profile defamation trial in Virginia this spring, the campaign gained traction. Depp earned more than $10 million from the jury, while Heard received $2 million.
