
According to police and rescue officials, nine persons were murdered on Tuesday night after a truck collided head-on with a mini-truck near the Keenjhar Lake in Sindh’s Thatta district.
According to Thatta Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Adeel Chandio, the accident occurred at 10:30 p.m. Friday night when a truck collided with a Suzuki Carry in the jurisdiction of the Keenjhar police station.
The event claimed the lives of nine persons, all of them were inhabitants of Karachi’s Malir district and were on their way to Keenjhar Lake.
According to the official, the truck driver has been arrested, and a first information report (FIR) will be filed based on the complaint of the deceased’s families.
Meanwhile, the Edhi Rescue Service announced in an official statement that the bodies had been transported by ambulance to the Sohrab Goth mortuary in Karachi.
According to the statement, all of the deceased were between the ages of 24 and 40. The identification of three bodies is currently proceeding, according to the statement.
Six members of a family were killed and 20 people were injured after a coaster slid into a ditch near the Thori Phatak Bridge in Sindh’s Manjhand on Monday.
The family belonged to the Khaskheli community and planned to visit Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine in Sehwan.
A day earlier, seven members of a family were killed and two others were injured when a bus collided with a car on the National Highway near Akhtarabad, Punjab. The family in the automobile was on their way from Lahore to Pakpattan to celebrate Eid.
